BMW Group recently announced plans to produce electric vehicles in South Carolina. The auto manufacturer will invest $1B to prepare its existing Spartanburg facility for EV production and spend another $700MM on a high-voltage battery assembly plant in Woodruff. The investment is expected to create a total of 300 new jobs. BMW’s goal is to produce six fully electric vehicle models in South Carolina by 2030.
